During Rotterdam Art Week in 2022 I showed a work my studio which I called a “A kinetic film”. This was a large projection on a wall using an overhead projector together with two transparent rotating disks running at different speeds with overlapping shapes of halftone patterns which interacted with each other through the different layers.
It had two parts, a projector + creator and a projection on a wall. This was a turning point in seeing how my work could affect the viewer in a more immersive form. It conquered the space in a manner in which people became part of the projection by standing in front of the projector and interacting with their own shadows and the ever-changing spectacle.
